As a web strategy consultant, I get so many businesses who contact me and ask me the question “How often should I blog?” My immediate response is “why do you want a blog?” Most of the time, I get no reply, so I decided to address the question in this article.

Lot of people take up blogging so that they can have their voice heard. If you are passionate about something and want to share this passion with a group of people, blogging can be a great way. You may not only become famous, but you can also network with a lot of like minded people.
Reason #2: Keep your customers updated with what is happening
If you would like to connect with your customers, then blogging can be a great way for you to keep your customers updated with what is going on in your business. It can include product promotions, new product launches, press releases, special events or anything that is going on in your business. This adds a human element to your business.
Reason #3: Show-off your expertise
A blog can be a great place for you to show-off your expertise to prospective clients. Even if you are a business that sells products, you can position yourself as a business that is a specialist at a particular trade.
